Family Fun Festival in Millennium Park

Learn how to attract butterflies at Monarch Mania in Millennium ParkRide the wave of the Family Fun Festival in Millennium Park with eco-activities for all the green thumbs in the family. During Monarch Mania (June 3–8), create your own garden with flowers specially selected to attract butterflies.

Plant a seed in a see-through glove container at Glove Gardens (July 21–27), then take it home to watch it grow. Make your own paper and crayons, ride a blender bike, create a solar gadget, and test a green house at Green Science (August 11–September 1).

City Farm

Buy organic fruit grown by teens at City FarmTote along your recycled shopping bag for a trip to the City Farm, run by city teens. Purchase lovely organic goods including 30 varieties of tomatoes, beets, carrots, potatoes, gourmet lettuce, herbs, and melons. All produce is grown in composted soil, some of which is provided by restaurant trimmings from the finest kitchens in town.

Green Fashions

Set out for Pivot Boutique to buy hot womenswear and accessories and men’s T-shirts featuring a revolving lineup of organic, sustainable, and recycled labels such as Del Forte, Stewart + Brown, and Ciel by Sarah Ratty, all displayed in an eco-conscious décor.
